Real-life robots are still relatively primitive compared to those featured in science fiction, but that hasnt stopped us from building bots that can take care of most of our physical needs. Yes, including that. In Japan, theres even now a robot that can simulate going on a walk and holding hands with your significant other, even if theyre just a figment of your imagination. Youd assume that all youd really need to simulate holding someones hand is one of those severed rubber limbs you can find at any party store leadi adidas yeezy ng up to Halloween. A couple of mental gymnastics later and youre walking hand-in-hand on a warm beach with your beloved. But that wasnt enough for robotics researchers at Japans Gifu University. In a recently published paper titled My Girlfriend in Walk translated from its Japanese name, Osampo Kanojo the team details an elaborate wearable rig that goes all-in when it comes to simulating the experience of holding someones hand during a walk. Made from a soft pliable material to recreate the adidas campus feel of human flesh, the robotic hand part of the system features articulated animated fingers that can detect pressure and squeeze back when gripped tightly, as well as a heating mechanism so it feels more lifelike. Let me put this bluntly: Smart homes are pretty dumb. Or at least historically, connected devices for the everymans house have seemed gimmicky at best. This week at CES, however, we saw new technology that stands to reform our very conception of how homes work. But the gamechanging device we saw isnt really a device at all. Its also not something that you ins adidas campus shoes tall inside your house, though it could become the killer app that makes all of those seemingly gimmicky gadgets work together to make the dream of a smart home come true. That thing鈥攚ait for it鈥攊s a connected car that talks to all of your other devices. And you talk to the car. Its not just one car. In Las Vegas this year, pretty much every major car company a air force 1 nnounced innovations aimed at helping you feel like youre never off the grid. But if youre thinking about it from a domestic point of view, these new connected cars will work with other connected devices so effortlessly that it will almost be like youre never truly away from home. The problem is that a lot of this tech has felt weirdly arbitrary, shoehorned into our foyers. Samsung is one of the clear leaders in mobile display tech, and its screens are found in a wide range of flagship devices including its own Galaxy phones and those of its biggest competitors like Apple. However, one of the biggest complaints about the Galaxy S9 is that looks virtually identical to last years device, a sentiment that arose largely due to the fact that Samsung didnt do much to change up the S9 screen. The short version is that its set in prison, which we know because everyone in the clip is wearing black-and-white-striped prisoner outfits straight out of 1920s Keystone Kops serials. These are the kind of outfits that only exist in Halloween stores, especially the one Barbara is wearing as its also a dress. A dress! Because this clip is all about Barbara, whose turn in season one was probably the worst-written female character I have ever seen on television, meeting Jerome, the proto-Joker. In jail. Together. Because, apparently, Gotham has adopted the worlds adidas originals uomo first coed prison, where male and female inmates have constant, unsupervised contact with each other. Barbara is literally reading a newspaper at what appears to be the prisons lounge, when Jerome sidles up to her and gets fresh. I fully expect Gordon and Bullock to have to put on ice skates to fight Mr. Freeze when he debuts this season, and frankly, thats not a joke, that is something that could absolutely legitimately happen on Gotham. Faster wireless speeds are on the way, but getting good signal strength in offices and homes is still a problem. To help address that problem, researchers at MITs Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory yeezy 350 CSAIL have developed a type of smart surface that it says can boost a phones signal strength by 1,000 percent. The issue, according to MIT, is that faster internet speeds wont become a reality unless theres a more efficient way of delivering wireless signals. While most compani adidas yeezy es are tackling that issue by adding more antennas to transmitters or receivers, reducing their size has been a problem as technology evolves. On November 11, a new character will become Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But is it Shuri Is it Nakia Okoye We dont know for sure, but apparently everyone in Wakanda has their own opinion about it. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever opens next month and the story centers on the fictional Marvel country grieving the loss of its king, TChalla, played by the late Chadwick Boseman.
